Shri Nandani Goshala works under Shriramlalasadan Trust. It takes care of those cows who are old and have stopped giving milk. .These cows are deserted by the owner’s .Many times the cows are being taken to the slaughter houses. In Hindu religion cows have unique importance. It is believed in our religion that to serve cow is equal to the service of God. With this purpose only this Goshala is established. To save cow is its' prime motto. Indian life is healthy, for many reasons, because of the use of milk, curd, ghee – products given by cow- the substantial part of Indian food. In Ayurveda, Gomutra and cow dung are supposed to have medical values. All these products support organic agriculture, resulting in producing chemical free grains.
Goshala will be a tool in creating employment. Employees, working in the Goshala, can be properly trained .It can serve two purposes. Firstly, it will create better job opportunity for the present staff and their family, and secondly, care of the cows can be taken in a better way.
Presently the Goshala is accommodating 32 cows. It is centrally located in Ayodhya two sheds are already there for cows (14×45 feet each). There is another hall (13×20feet), which is used for storing grass and other things. A room (12×15 feet) ,with a toilet block, is for the staff of the Goshala.
Monthly expenditure of this Goshala is about 100000/ .Five employees are working in this project. This expenditure is met with the donations given by the devotees of Shri Swamiji.
All kind of care of the cows is being taken here in the Goshala. The cows are given grass, gur and coarse grains. Water facility is there for them. Medical treatment is also given to them.
As the number of cows is increasing, the Goshala will need more sheds. The plan is to make sheds to accommodate 50 cows in near future. Thus expansion of the present Goshala is much needed.
Another plan is to produce and market the products made from Gomutra and cow dung. It will help the society and the Goshala in positive way.
